It is a safer alternative to twisted wire and the dewiring process. The product is based on our 30-plus years of experience in the strapping market and is engineered with the same quality control measures as our paperband.
FPC-Certified, Responsibly Sourced Baleband Material
Baleband is made from responsibly and sustainably sourced fibre carrying FPC certification. For a mill with ESG reporting obligations, the strap on the bale is part of the same fibre story as the bale itself, and a certified fibre strap does not create a separate waste stream to account for.
A Safer, Eco-Friendly Alternative to Twisted Wire Bale Strapping
Dewiring is one of the more hazardous routine tasks around a pulp bale line. Twisted wire has to be cut under tension, it springs, and it has to be collected and handled as scrap. Baleband removes that exposure: it is a fibre strap, it cuts cleanly, and it goes back into the process rather than into a wire bin.

Repulpable by Design
Baleband is tested to 50,000 revolutions under the FPI documented procedure. In a mill that is already handling recovered fibre, a strap that repulps with the bale is a materially different proposition from one that has to be separated, collected and disposed of.
Packaging & Storage
Baleband is supplied in bleached white, sold 18 coils per pallet, 4,000 ft per coil on a 6″ ID core, with a coil width of 8″ and a coil diameter of 14″. Store baleband in a dry place at room temperature, between 68°F and 75°F (20-24°C). Optimal storage conditions are 70°F (21°C) at 50% relative humidity.
